Director of Content

We are looking for a Director of Content to manage all writing material we create for business purposes, from articles, newsletters, white papers and social media posts. Director of Content responsibilities include publishing our monthly newsletter, tracking website traffic and user engagement and generating new blog post topics in alignment with the company’s Demand Generation Strategy. Ultimately, you will ensure our web content is on brand, and deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness.

Requirements

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing our editorial calendar to ensure timely publication of all assets
  • Researching industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
  • Writing clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
  • Identifying gaps in our content and recommending new topics
  • Work with Sales to identify customer opportunities and effectively craft content to position our product as an investment vital to their business
  • Ghostwriting op-ed and thought leadership pieces for executives
  • Collaborate with strategic communications team to provide content to support placement efforts
  • Identify insights based on Clture.io engagement and analytics and define strategic priorities and requirements to deliver business results
  • Coordinate with marketing, design and data teams to ensure content is supported with visualizations and promotional graphics
  • Ensure all content is proofread, fact checked and edited thoroughly before publication
  • Manage the Community Manager’s work flow to support promotion of content across social channels
  • Conduct keyword and SEO research to understand customer’s pain points
  • Monitor web traffic and engagement (e.g. conversions and bounce rates) and optimize activity to improve results
  • Follow industry-related news and generate ideas around trending topics
  • Review and update published marketing content as needed


REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven work experience as a Editor, Content Strategist, Content Manager or similar role
  • A portfolio of published articles
  • Experience in project management is a plus
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems, like WordPress
  • Basic understanding of HTML and web publishing
  • Familiarity with SEO guidelines and keyword research tools (e.g. Moz and Google Keyword Planner)
  • Experience using social media for business
  • Solid writing and editing skills in English
  • Time-management skills
  • Ability to guide and motivate team members


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors in Journalism or relevant field
  • Previous experience in content marketing required
