Divine Flooring is seeking a talented Developer with an extensive knowledge of Coldfusion, Microsoft SQL and query optimization techniques. This is a Part-Time position with an expected 10+ hours a week, and the ability to work remotely.

Primary Job Purpose

As a Software Developer and Report Analyst at Divine Flooring, you will be working to build and support an in-house Software Application based on Web and Mobile Technologies. You are someone who understands the value of Customer Support and has a deep understanding of Relational Databases, including stored procedures, query optimization techniques, building reports using a combination of SQL and advanced skills in Excel with Pivot Tables, Excel VBA, Macros and Charts, as well as managing and maintaining ColdFusion web application. You will be required to monitor a ticketing system and complete development requests as they are submitted. You also have front end development experience in Javascript with clear concepts of Object Oriented development, layered architecture, REST and SaaS. You should also have familiarity with Software Development methodologies such as Scrum Agile with Sprint Planning and daily Scrum meetings.

Skills Required – Technical

  • Extensive experience in Coldfusion, Microsoft SQL, & Java
  • Experience in Excel & Pivot Tables
  • Experience in ColdFusion web application development platform
  • Javascript and front end technologies such as Sencha Ext JS, Angular, NodeJS
  • Application Servers and Web Servers (e.g. Tomcat, Apache)


Skills Required – Non-Technical

  • Must demonstrate good understanding and command of English language with excellent communication skills and ability to articulate thoughts during verbal and written communications
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Must have a detail oriented personality with the ability to make recommendations and improve team processes
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Must have the ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Demonstrated professionalism and integrity while consistently acting in an ethical and fair manner

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from an accredited University
  • Must have strong Computer Science fundamentals i.e. data structures, algorithms, and software design practices
  • 5+ years experience in Microsoft SQL Server database development using query optimization techniques, stored procedures, triggers and indexes
  • 5+ years experience in Excel with advanced skills in Excel VBA, Pivot Tables, charting packages and Macros
  • 3+ years experience in Java using frameworks such as Spring MVC, Groovy/Grails
  • 5+ years experience in ColdFusion web application development platform with experience in developing and maintaining CFML code
  • 2+ years experience in Javascript and front end technologies such as Sencha Ext JS, Angular, NodeJS
  • 2+ years experience with Application Servers and Web Servers (e.g. Tomcat, Apache)
